EXPO 2025 Thematic Project “Invigorating Lives” (Producer NAKAJIMA Sachiko)
In celebration of successfully bringing the YMCA Leaders' Conference from 31 countries to Osaka in 2025, the World Urban Network EXPO Special Talk Event will be held from June 29 to July 4 at the Osaka YMCA Hall. On July 1, leaders from various countries will gather at Yumeshima to join Producer NAKAJIMA Sachiko and others in discussing how to enhance well-being and how people around the world with diverse lives can thrive and shine.

Programme details
We are pleased to announce the CEO & Senior Leaders Conference, to be held in Osaka, the site of the 2025 Expo, from June 29 to July 4, 2025. On July 1, as one of the Signature Events by the thematic project "Invigorating Lives" (Signature Pavilion "Playground of Life: Jellyfish Pavilion") representatives will gather in the Expo’s broadcast studio in Osaka to share global messages on “Health and Well-being.” These messages will be broadcast online to participating countries worldwide, delivering the theme week’s message directly from the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

NAKAJIMA Sachiko
Thematic Project ”Invigorating Lives" (Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition)
Musician, a mathematics researcher, and a STEAM Educator. She is also CEO of steAm, Inc.,the representative director of steAm BAND Association and a thematic project producer of Expo 2025, Osaka, Kansai, Japan. She also serves as a STEM Girls Ambassador, Cabinet Office, and project researcher of Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences The University of Tokyo. She won the gold medal as the first Japanese woman in the International Mathematical Olympiad. She passionately conducts research on art and technology as well as music, mathematics, and education.

Kan Hiroshi SUZUKI
The University of Tokyo
He graduated from the University of Tokyo, entered the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). After serving as an associate Professor at Keio University SFC, he became a member of the House of Councilors for 12 years. He served two terms as State Minister of Education, Science, Technology, Sports and Culture and four terms as Chief policy Officer of MEXT, and was appointed as Professor at the University of Tokyo in 2014. He is also a Teach for All Global board member, Director for Representative of Japan Education (ROJE), and Vice President of the Society of Well-being.

Cristina Neglia is YMCA São Paulo General Secretary /CEO and has a large experience in sociocultural and volunteers programs and coordinated the National Women Committee. In her career managed different branchs of the YMCA São Paulo and for 9 years he served as COO. YMCA São Paulo’s attitudes to promote well-being and minority rights” is based in our Social Centers, where we use Brazilian culture to promote well-being; to help vulnerable people.

Răzvan-Victor Sassu
World YMCA - Head of Strategy&Policy, Young Initiative Association (local YMCA part of YMCA Romania) -Founder&President
Răzvan-Victor Sassu is serving as the Head of Strategy&Policy at World YMCA, while also being the Founder & President of the YMCA in Bucharest (Romania) and having served 10 years as the Treasurer of YMCA Romania. He has coordinated the technical team responsible for co-designing YMCA Vision 2030 and organising broad consultations for the Movement, and now he is coordinating the global activation process of Vision 2030. Since 2023 he is also leading the YMCA Strategic Alignment and Movement Strengthening Global Team, an innovative initiative that brings together over 12 YMCAs worldwide to coordinate their capacity building efforts for a stronger YMCA globally. With over 16 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Răzvan is passionate about supporting NGOs grow to better serve their communities for greater impact, having led several programmes in the area of NGO Development and the development of the youth work sector in Romania and at a European level.

Serika Kagami
Graduated from Suito Kokusai High School in March 2025; will enroll at University College London in the UK in September to major in Chemistry.
Enrolled as a first-cohort student at Osaka Prefectural Suito Kokusai Junior High School in 2019. Completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and graduated from the affiliated high school in 2025. From September, will begin studies at University College London in the United Kingdom as a Sasakawa Scholarship recipient. Majoring in Chemistry, with the goal of developing environmentally sustainable new materials.
