Programme details
As a sister exhibition to Arab Health, one of the world’s largest international healthcare and medical equipment trade shows in Dubai, we will be holding the inaugural "Japan Health" in Osaka in June 2025.
In Japan, sector-specific academic exhibitions are prevalent, contributing to the growth of the domestic market. However, they also face challenges related to excessive imports.
Given this situation, and leveraging our global outreach at Informa Markets, we have decided that now is the right time to host "Japan Health" in Osaka, with the theme of "Designing a Future Society Where Life Shines," in anticipation of the 2025 World Expo.
Reports
【Reflection】
425 exhibiting companies Total attendance: 9,516 visitors (over 3 days)
Japan Health was held in June as a comprehensive exhibition covering all categories of medical and healthcare. Traditionally, medical exhibitions in Japan have been primarily organized by individual academic societies, limiting opportunities for cross-departmental business discussions and information exchange. Japan Health has created new value as a ""cross-industry platform for networking and business negotiations"" that overcomes these limitations.
The organizer, Informa Markets Japan Co., Ltd., leveraged its global network from its UK headquarters to actively attract international exhibitors and visitors. For small and medium-sized enterprises that find it difficult to exhibit at overseas exhibitions, this event provided a valuable opportunity to conduct business discussions with international partners while remaining in Japan.
During the event period, more than 30 seminars and corporate sessions were held covering various medical fields. Networking opportunities were also arranged in the evenings, creating spaces for expanding knowledge and fostering connections beyond booth negotiations.
Former Prime Minister Kishida and Osaka Governor Yoshimura also visited during the exhibition, providing an opportunity to observe the latest medical innovations from Japan and abroad.
【Post EXPO Initiatives】
The exhibition will continue under the new name WHX in the coming years, continuing to provide a platform for business discussions and opportunities for domestic and international companies.
Key Initiatives:
Enhanced Pre-matching and Individual Meeting Support
We will conduct preliminary purpose interviews with both exhibitors and visitors, implementing AI-based recommendation features and individual appointment coordination support to prepare for more efficient business discussion opportunities.
Strengthened Support for SMEs and Startups
We will provide seminars, follow-up support, and share success stories for first-time exhibitors and small businesses, sharing exhibition know-how to motivate participation.
Strengthened Collaboration with Academic Societies and Researchers
By partnering with medical academic societies and research organizations to incorporate academic elements and panel discussions, we will enhance connectivity with clinical settings and create a platform for more credible information dissemination.
Overseas Expansion Support and Regional Collaboration
Leveraging our strength in international attendance and exhibitions, we will strengthen follow-up support for companies aiming to export overseas by collaborating with support organizations. Additionally, we will promote regional economic revitalization measures (such as food and accommodation partnerships) in cooperation with the surrounding area.
Enhanced Sustainability and Diversity
We will more clearly incorporate social responsibility (ESG) perspectives to enhance the overall value of the exhibition, including environmentally conscious exhibitions and promoting the participation of women and young researchers.
