【Reflection】
Through the program, the participants discussed infrastructure resilience. They discussed the current situation in which facilities and infrastructure built after the period of high economic growth are aging, and their maintenance has become a major social issue. Against the backdrop of the increasing risk of severe natural disasters and labor shortages, the participants were able to deepen their discussion on the urgency of taking measures to address this issue.

Yuko Nagayama
Yuko Nagayama Architectural Design Director
Born in Tokyo in 1975. After working at Aoki Jun Architects, she established Nagayama Yuko Architects in 2002. Her major works include the Toshima Yokoo House, Japan Pavilion at Dubai Expo, Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, Women's Pavilion at Expo Osaka-Kansai and Panasonic Group Pavilion "Nomo no Kuni". She has received the JIA Newcomer Award (2014), Yamanashi Prefecture Architectural Culture Award, Tokyo Architectural Award Excellence Award (2018), Lighting Design Award Grand Prize (2021), WAF Highly Commended (2022), IF Design Award (2023), etc. Plans for Torch Tower and other projects are currently underway.

Sadao Hishiki
CEO of SomeQ Technology
Born in Taito, Tokyo in 1942.
After graduating from Keio University, he founded an automotive paint manufacturer.
Later, he overcame the crisis of the collapse of the bubble economy and founded SomeQ Technology in 2002.
With a focus on solving customers' problems, the company is focused on technological development. It has developed regeneration technology based on nanotechnology and continues to challenge itself to solve various social issues such as reducing waste and extending the lifespan of buildings and public infrastructure. It has also launched the slogan "SomeQ takes on the era of major renovations" and aims to further grow and contribute to society with its regeneration, life extension, and reinforcement technology for all buildings and facilities, including social infrastructure.

Yoshitomi Kimura
Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) Smart Infrastructure Management System Construction SPD/PM
Born in 1962. After completing his master's course at Nagaoka University of Technology in 1987, he joined the Ministry of Construction. He served as Director of the Numazu River and National Highway Office, Director of the Mie Prefecture Land Development Department, Public Works Research Institute's Structural Maintenance Research Center, and Director of the National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management, before assuming his current position in 2024. He is also a director of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers and the Japan Road Association, and serves as sub-program director for the Smart Infrastructure Management System in the Cabinet Office's 3rd Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP). His specialty is road bridge maintenance.

Maya Akamatsu
Director and Osaka Planning Department Manager, Obayashi Corporation
Born in Osaka in 1967. After graduating from the School of Life Sciences at Osaka City University, she joined Obayashi Corporation in 1989. She was assigned to the Development Department, and from 2000 she has been involved in project management for 19 projects, including the Nara Convention Center, in the PFI Business Department, which is responsible for the design, construction, and operation of public facilities. Since 2021, she has been in charge of the Women's Pavilion and the Panasonic Group Pavilion "Nomo no Kuni" in the Osaka Kansai Expo Office, and from 2024 she has been focusing on livening up the Osaka-Kansai Expo in the Osaka Planning Department. Personally, she founded the voluntary organization Sakuya Working Community in 2017 to support women's participation in the workforce.

Akane Yamaguchi
Nomura Co., Ltd. Creative Headquarters Future Creation Research Institute Vision Design Department Manager
Born in 1978. After graduating from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University, he joined Nomura Co., Ltd. As a spatial designer, he is in charge of the creative direction of spaces and experiences related to corporate branding. His main work in recent years includes the Japan Olympic Museum, Panasonic Creative Museum AkeruE, and Nomura Co., Ltd. Group Base Consolidation Project. At the Osaka-Kansai Expo, he was in charge of the creative aspects of the exhibits and experiences at the Panasonic Group Pavilion "Nomo no Kuni." He is currently also focusing on R&D activities at Nomura Co., Ltd.'s creative research institute, the Future Creation Laboratory, whose mission is to open up all possibilities for space.

Koichi Masuda
Oiles Corporation Executive Officer and General Manager of Seismic Isolation and Control Division
Born in 1971. After graduating from Akita University Graduate School, he joined Oiles Corporation in 1997.
During the expansion of seismic isolation technology after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, he has been involved in many projects, mainly in the field of bridge bearing design, and has been active as a leading expert in engineering services. From 2023, as Executive Officer and General Manager of the Seismic Isolation and Damping Business Division, he will continue to work energetically to ensure that Oiles' seismic isolation and damping devices protect people's lives, lifestyles, and social infrastructure from disasters, and to realize a safe and secure society, under the management philosophy of "contributing to society through technology."
Currently, he serves as President and CEO of Seismic Isolation Engineering, an affiliate of Oiles Corporation, and also serves as a director of the Japan Seismic Isolation Structure Association, the Japan Vibration Technology Association, and the Japan Bearing Association.
