The Saudi Arabia Pavilion will host “Leading Dialogues for Future Cities,” a presentation supporting Expo 2025 Osaka’s Theme Week Two under the overarching theme “The Future of Community and Mobility.”
Expo 2025 Osaka’s Theme Weeks is an initiative in which countries from around the world solve global issues through dialogue. The Theme Week Two session will explore an important question: What does a community look like where we can truly live as we are? Sharing insights into the evolving concept of urban living and its implications for future societies.
The presentation hosted by the Saudi Arabia Pavilion will discuss transformative initiatives, such as smart cities and the role of digital infrastructure, the emergence of green initiatives, and innovative thinking around space and future habitats. The session will focus on how envisioning inclusive, technologically advanced, and sustainable urban environments caters to diverse lifestyles.
The “Leading Dialogues for Future Cities” will include speakers from Saudi Arabia’s transformative entities from the Quality of Life Program, ROSHN, Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), and the Al Madinah Region Development Authority. In addition, the Saudi Arabia Pavilion will host a supporting event at the Pavilion’s Collaboration Hub, organized by the Quality of Life Program, a Saudi government initiative focused on the empowerment of arts and culture, promotion of sports and leading a healthy life, and the development of more livable urban areas.
Expo 2025 Osaka’s Theme Week Two, “The Future of Community and Mobility” aligns closely with the Saudi Arabia Pavilion’s participation objectives, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s transformative journey under Vision 2030 and its commitment to a sustainable future. The Pavilion showcases the country’s rich heritage, groundbreaking giga projects, and environmental initiatives, demonstrating its dedication to sustainable innovation.

Mishari Ibrahim ALmishari
Deputy Director of National Information Centre
Mishari Almishari, who was recently awarded the Order of King Abdul Aziz Second Class for his services to the country, has been deputy director of the National Information Center (NIC) since Sept. 2019.
The NIC provides IT solutions and services to Saudi government bodies and has one of the largest IT centers in the Middle East.
It was set up three decades ago as the Computer Center, which became the General Administration of Central Information, changing to the NIC in the 1980s.
Almishari received a bachelor’s degree from King Saud University (KSU) in 2001 and completed his postgraduate studies in the US, receiving a master’s in computer science from the University of Southern California in 2006.

Norah Alyusuf
Chief Global Engagment Officer, Quality of Life
Norah Alyusuf is a dynamic leader with over two decades of experience spanning financial services, non-profits, sports, and wellness. As the Chief Global Engagement Officer for Vision 2030’s Quality of Life Program, she plays a pivotal role spearheading initiatives to place quality of life at the heart of the various global agendas. Norah has held leadership positions in influential organizations such as the Alnahda Society, which focuses on women’s empowerment, and INJAZ UAE, part of JA Worldwide, a leading youth-focused NGO. Her career is deeply rooted in her passion for transformative change, starting in her home country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With a degree in Business Economics and Art History from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a certificate in Health and Wellbeing from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, Norah blends analytical rigor with creative insight. Her work is driven by a commitment to enhancing urban environments through the intersection of sports, culture, youth empowerment and emerging technologies, all aimed at creating inclusive and sustainable cities globally.

Adel Alzahrani
Head of Community Development, ROSHN
Adel Bakheet Al-Zahrani was appointed executive director for community development charters at the real estate developer ROSHN Group in November 2023.
His responsibilities include ensuring real estate development guidelines support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program, monitoring global trends, and integrating best practices into local guidelines.
Al-Zahrani previously served as deputy minister for urban planning and lands, and strategic adviser on urban design and livable cities, and has played a pivotal role in shaping national policies related to urban development.
Al-Zahrani has also held a number of influential positions in academia, serving as the vice dean for quality and development at the faculty of architecture and planning at King Abdulaziz University, eventually becoming dean of that department.

Chief Data & Innovation Officer, Al Madinah Region Development Authority
Abdulrahman Ibrahim, Chief Data and Innovation Officer at the Al Madinah Region Development Authority, spearheads smart city projects to enhance urban infrastructure and sustainability, in line with Saudi Vision 2030. With over 22 years of experience in consumer goods and medical supplies, he has held senior roles across the Middle East and Africa, founded Shore Consultancy, and served on Saudi Arabian boards. His work positions Madinah as a leader in smart city development, improving urban mobility and sustainability.

Rana Alyemeni

Rana Alyemeni is a Project Manager in the Saudi Green Initiative (SGI) Secretariat, coordinating projects and initiatives to advance Saudi Arabia’s ambitious environmental and sustainability targets.
Rana takes a leading role in SGI’s public outreach, participating events and conferences around the world alongside international climate leaders, environmental experts, and government representatives – highlighting the Kingdom’s work to unite environmental protection, energy transition, and sustainability programs to reach a more sustainable future.
