Reports

【Reflection】
This programme provided an excellent opportunity to showcase Indonesia’s diverse food and beverage offerings, highlighting sustainable agriculture and health-conscious lifestyles. Organic coffee and tea, alongside additive-free healthy snacks, attracted considerable interest from visitors. Coffee producers introduced environmentally friendly farming practices and efforts to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), sharing insights into their plantation landscapes and quality control measures. The tea segment emphasised plantations with a long history and tradition, with organic certification and a variety of flavours well received through tasting sessions. Traditional soy-based snacks, including tempeh, conveyed their value as health-focused ingredients, generating anticipation for overseas markets.

Visitors were given hands-on opportunities to sample products, alongside information on environmental protection and community support initiatives underpinning production. This fostered a deeper understanding of Indonesia’s rich culinary culture and commitment to sustainable production, sparking fresh interest and discovery. In particular, enthusiasm for the Japanese market increased, offering promising prospects for future business development and international exchange.

Overall, the programme served as a highly meaningful platform to raise awareness of Indonesia’s food industry, which integrates its natural environment, agricultural technology, and cultural heritage.

【Post EXPO Initiatives】
Building on the positive feedback received during the programme, plans are underway to expand into overseas markets, especially Japan. Efforts will focus on broadening sales channels for organic coffee, tea, and healthy snacks, as well as strengthening consumer engagement through tasting events and other initiatives. Collaborating closely with producers, we will continue promoting sustainable farming methods and enhancing quality control, aiming to reduce environmental impact while revitalising local economies.

Additionally, we intend to deepen consumer understanding and support by sharing information related to agricultural technologies and production processes aligned with the SDGs. Social value at production sites, including farmer support and fair trade initiatives, will also be actively communicated. Drawing on insights and feedback gathered from this exhibition, we will prioritise new product development and improvements to better meet diverse consumer needs.

Through these endeavours, we aim to broaden appreciation of Indonesia’s culinary heritage both domestically and internationally, contributing to the realisation of a sustainable society. Moving forward, we remain committed to cherishing Indonesia’s beautiful natural environment and food culture, while promoting harmony between environmental, social, and economic dimensions in the pursuit of sustainability.
