This is followed by a session focused on women entrepreneurs and SMEs in both countries, showcasing their experiences, the challenges they face, and the opportunities available to women-led businesses.
The final session will offer participants practical guidance on accessing current business opportunities and support schemes, equipping them with tools to advance their ventures in the UK–Japan trade landscape.

Reports

【Reflection】
The event brought together Japanese and UK female business owners and entrepreneurs interested in expanding their businesses between the UK and Japan.

The day began with a panel discussion entitled “Building Societies Where Women Can Thrive – Supporting the Next Generation of Female Leaders”, where senior leaders from both nations shared their experiences, insights, and advice on leadership, inclusion, and fostering environments in which women can succeed.

Following this, the speed mentoring and group networking sessions allowed participants to engage directly with accomplished women leaders from a variety of sectors, including finance, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, and innovation. These interactive sessions facilitated lively discussion and the exchange of practical guidance, enabling participants to gain actionable insights for their own entrepreneurial journeys.

The venue was filled with energy throughout the day, and we received positive feedback from speakers and panelists.

【Post EXPO Initiatives】
Building on the connections and insights gained during the event, we will continue to work closely with partners including Japan, to remove barriers to trade for women and support women-owned businesses to access opportunities in international trade.
