EXPO 2025 Thematic Project “Invigorating Lives” (Producer NAKAJIMA Sachiko)
The annual World Youth Meeting, mainly organized by Ritsumeikan University and NIHON FUKUSHI University, will be expanded in 2025 and partially held at the Expo venue as "World Youth Talks" in collaboration with Producer NAKAJIMA Sachiko. This event will provide a platform for young people to reflect on global peace, human rights, and the future of our planet. High school and university students from various Asian countries will attend this event, engaging in presentations and discussions in English, and participating in international exchange activities focused on topics such as the SDGs, education, human rights, and peace.

Programme details
The World Youth Meeting is an international exchange program that has been ongoing since 1998, in which universities and high schools in Japan and overseas universities and high schools are paired up to create and present presentations in collaboration according to the theme of the conference. At the Expo site, several teams of university and high school students from diverse backgrounds who participated in the World Youth Meeting and gave presentations on peace and human rights will consider the meaning of the theme in more depth through discussions with the participants of the Expo from the perspective of the Expo's theme project of "Invigorating Lives." Thematic Project Producers, Sachiko Nakajima, Hiroaki Miyata as well as Professor Kan Suzuki would also join this discussion.

Thematic Project ”Invigorating Lives" (Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition)
Musician, a mathematics researcher, and a STEAM Educator. She is also CEO of steAm, Inc.,the representative director of steAm BAND Association and a thematic project producer of Expo 2025, Osaka, Kansai, Japan. She also serves as a STEM Girls Ambassador, Cabinet Office, and project researcher of Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences The University of Tokyo. She won the gold medal as the first Japanese woman in the International Mathematical Olympiad. She passionately conducts research on art and technology as well as music, mathematics, and education.

KANDUBODA Prabath Buddhika
Ritsumeikan International
Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. After coming to Japan in 2001 as an international student and graduating from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University's School of Asia Pacific Studies, he received a master's degree (in applied linguistics) and a doctorate (linguistics and academics) at the Graduate School of International Languages and Cultures, Nagoya University. He is currently an associate professor at Ritsumeikan International. As Deputy Director of the International Department, he is also committed to multicultural co-learning.

Kan Hiroshi SUZUKI
The University of Tokyo
He graduated from the University of Tokyo, entered the Ministry of
International Trade and Industry (MITI). After serving as an
associate Professor at Keio University SFC, he became a
member of the House of Councilors for 12 years.
He served two terms as State Minister of Education, Science,
Technology, Sports and Culture and four terms as Chief policy Officer
of MEXT, and was appointed as Professor at the University of Tokyo
in 2014. He is also a Teach for All Global board member, Director for
Representative of Japan Education (ROJE), and Vice President of
the Society of Well-being.
