Reports
【Reflection】
Through the program, children themselves developed the attitude to actively engage with social issues and think independently about their own future. As a result, it was confirmed that the event received high praise from many participants and stakeholders, proving to be a meaningful opportunity for nurturing the next generation of leaders.
Furthermore, by providing experiential stages utilizing entertainment and educational content, children were able to enjoy learning about the importance of the SDGs and peace. Such participatory programs greatly contributed to increasing children’s interest and understanding, which in turn led to higher satisfaction among participants. Many participants also expressed a stronger desire to actively address social issues, highlighting the event’s strong social significance.
In addition, exhibition booths and experiential content supported by the cooperation of numerous companies and organizations such as Nomura Holdings, Mynavi, and Morinaga & Co. successfully conveyed the challenges and solutions for the future society from diverse perspectives to the children. The participation of companies and experts not only broadened the children’s horizons but also served as a bridge connecting society and children, laying the foundation for future collaboration.
The digital entertainment and “Future Stage” developed by NTT attracted children’s interest while presenting new forms of learning through technology. This increased expectations for future-oriented education and resulted in promising prospects for further development.
Overall, the greatest achievement of this event was the strong message it conveyed that “children are the key actors in creating the future society,” establishing its position as an event with significant influence on participants and society as a whole.
【Post EXPO Initiatives】
Having completed the program, we will now advance the following initiatives toward further development of the program and the creation of a sustainable society.
First, we will continue communication activities centered on the "Children's Declaration" and establish an online platform where children can express their opinions throughout the year. This will create an environment where children from both inside and outside Japan can participate at any time, strengthening the system for delivering diverse voices to the world. We will also promote multilingual support to involve children from more regions and countries.
Next, we will promote the holding of community-based future conferences. "Mini Future Summits" will be held in regional areas and overseas cities, increasing opportunities for children to proactively engage in problem-solving on themes specific to their communities. This will contribute to revitalizing local communities and enhancing children's awareness of regional contribution.
Additionally, we will strengthen collaboration with educational institutions to promote SDGs and peace education in schools. Through workshops and outreach lessons, we will support children's understanding and practice, fostering a future-oriented mindset in everyday learning. We aim for a comprehensive approach including curriculum development and teacher training.
Furthermore, we will utilize event videos and records as educational and promotional materials. Documentaries and highlight videos will be produced to widely convey the event's significance to children and society, encouraging interest and participation in future editions.
Finally, we will deepen cooperation with international organizations and overseas partners to promote future creation from a global perspective. We will seek partnerships with UNICEF, UNESCO, and others, and implement online exchanges and joint projects with children abroad to strengthen bonds among children worldwide.
Through these initiatives, we will continue to build an environment where children can be the main actors in future society, expressing their voices and contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
