EXPO2025 Theme Weeks

Programme details

Concept
This event incorporates elements of traditional Japanese aesthetics and techniques—specifically Beauty (美), Technique (技), Skill (巧), and Artistry (藝)—into its materials and designs. We believe this union of aesthetics and technique embodies a worldview that values harmony with nature and sustainability. These are critical components as we consider the future of our cities and architecture. Through playful and profound learning experiences, children will develop a creative spirit and a forward-looking perspective rooted in this aesthetic tradition. We believe this is the key to changing the world. This initiative aims to instill a sense of confidence in the future, affirming that "The Kids Are Alright."

Please check the website for details of the program.

The Future of Architecture and the Circular Economy –The Kids Are Alright-

This event is a Cultural Affairs Agency-sponsored initiative designed to explore a circular economy and the design of a future society through the lens of Japanese architectural culture. The purpose of this event is to provide children of the Alpha Generation—the next leaders of our society—with an experience to design a carbon-neutral future using their own creativity.
