All of the Co-Creation Challenges we have promoted contribute to achieving the SDGs, which are the goals of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, and inherit the important concept of "citizen participation" realized at Expo 2005 Aichi, Japan.
This program will be presenting the results of a dialogue conducted by five regions in Japan that are home to World Natural Heritage Sites, focusing on the theme of "Coexistence of nature and society and the heritage of humanity that should be preserved for future generations."

【Reflection】
Japan Institute of Eventology which explores the significance, methods, and effectiveness of events, has promoting three TEAM EXPO 2025 Co-Creation Challenges based on the participation and collaboration of "Global Citizens" with GISPRI (Global Industrial and Social Progress Research Institute), a general incorporated foundation that is the successor to Expo 2005 Aichi, Japan.
Regarding the World Natural Heritage Five Regions Conference, the fact that cooperation between the five regions in Japan that have World Natural Heritage sites has been realized can be considered a major achievement in itself. The presentations this time reaffirmed the great significance of sharing the activities of each of the five regions to ensure that the conservation of natural heritage sites, daily life, and tourism coexist in a sustainable manner. Furthermore, the importance of disseminating Japan's ideas and efforts regarding coexistence with natural heritage sites to the world was also pointed out, and this presentation gives us hope for future international advocacy activities.
【Post EXPO Initiatives】
In addition to summarizing the individual challenges, the keyword "social empowerment initiative" was raised in this session.
EXPO 2005 Aichi Japan was highly praised by the BIE for clearly defining the existence of "global citizens" as the third engine after countries, international organizations, and companies, and for realizing active participation in the Expo by citizens. The idea of citizen participation realized by EXPO 2005 Aichi Japan has been inherited by subsequent Expos.
There is no doubt that countries, international organizations, and companies will continue to be indispensable players in the future society. With the addition of "global citizens" and each player demonstrating their strengths, events will continue to be an engine that creates a new era.
The Society of Event Science will support the further development of the three co-creation challenges, and at the same time, we hope that the idea of global citizens will be inherited at the Serbia Expo and the Yokohama International Horticultural Expo to be held in 2027, and that behavioral changes in individuals and society will be promoted through events. We would like to continue to promote research activities and policy proposal activities for this purpose.
